Reef & Beach Resort, on the southeast coast of Zanzibar, offers a four-star experience with azure sea, white beaches, and palm trees. The resort between Jambiani and Makunduchi has a variety of room types, two pools, a large restaurant, and a mangrove forest traversing a wooden bridge. Enjoy excursions and underwater adventures such as diving and snorkeling.

Each room and bungalow is passionately decorated, with locally made furniture and a balcony or veranda. The resort is about a 1.5-hour drive from the airport and Stone Town, with nearby villages to explore. Red Colobus monkeys often greet guests and complete your Zanzibar experience. Whether you choose a room or a bungalow for your stay at Reef & Beach Resort, you’re always in the right place. Every room and bungalow has a good double bed with a lovely mattress, bedding and a mosquito net. The perfect combination for a well-deserved good night’s sleep. Each room type has a pre, but they all feature a sitting area on the balcony or veranda and air conditioning for the tropical temperatures. Which room type suits you best?

Villa (max. 5 people)

Are you going on your honeymoon or want to treat yourself to a stay in a beautiful villa? Then this villa is perfect for you! The villa at Reef & Beach Resort is located on the corner of the resort, so you have a 180-degree view of the sea. The terrace is just for you, so whether you lie in the hammock or read a book on the terrace, no one will disturb you. The villa consists of two rooms with a double bed in each room. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, a European toilet and a sink with hairdryer.

Ocean bungalow (max. 3 persons)

Do you want optimal sea views from your bungalow and from your veranda? Then choose the Ocean bungalow. These semi-detached bungalows are right on the beach and offer more privacy. The rooms are decorated with care and the bathroom offers all the facilities you need to freshen up. The bed is Zanzibarian style and you can enjoy watching TV from your bed while hearing the sea in the background.

Garden bungalow (max. 3 persons)

This garden bungalow gives a little more peace and privacy. They are located in the garden of Reef & Beach Resort. You have your own veranda with chairs and the semi-detached bungalow is surrounded by trees, plants and flowers. The double bed offers a good night’s sleep, along with the mosquito net and air conditioning for the tropical temperatures. The bathroom has all the necessary facilities and you have plenty of storage space for your belongings.

Family room ocean view (min. 4 and max. 6 people)

This room is about the same as the Suite room ocean view, but larger and located on the second floor. This makes the view even better and you can enjoy a wonderful stay together with your family. The room consists of two bedrooms with a double bed in one room and bunk beds for three in the connecting room. The bathroom is complete and efficiently equipped with a European toilet, walk-in shower and sink.

Suite room ocean view (max. 3 persons)

You hear the first birds chirping and you see the first rays of the sun shining through the curtains. You open the curtains and are immediately overwhelmed by the beautiful view of the azure sea and the white beach. That is truly the uniqueness of this suite room ocean view. The room has a nice sitting area on the balcony, where you can enjoy this beautiful view. Inside the room you have a traditional double bed with a sitting area and a closet. The bathroom is modern with a walk-in shower, European toilet and a sink with hairdryer.

Family room mangrove/pool view (min. 4 max. 6 people)

Are you coming to Zanzibar with your family? Then this family room mangrove/pool view is ideal for you. It is a very spacious room in fresh colors with typical African decor. The double bed is separate from the bunk bed for three and an extra single bed can be added. The outdoor seating area overlooks the pool or mangrove forest and the bathroom is specially designed for families. Nothing will be missing during your stay in this room.

Suite room mangrove/pool view (max. 3 persons)

Amidst the green oasis and just steps away from the large pool are the suite rooms mangrove/pool view. You will feel right at home here and this room will offer you the peace and space you desire during your vacation on Zanzibar. It has a double bed and plenty of closet space to store your things. The bathroom is spacious and has a nice walk-in shower, European toilet and a sink with hair dryer.

Standard room (max. 2 persons)

Want to have more money left over for fun excursions on Zanzibar? Then choose the budget-friendly standard room. This compact but nice room has a double bed with mosquito net. The fresh colors exude tranquility and you have the opportunity to start the day with a homemade cup of coffee or tea. The balcony overlooks the green garden and partly the pool. The bathroom is complete with walk-in shower, European toilet and sink with hairdryer.

Restaurant & Bar

Reef & Beach Resort also has plenty of options to treat yourself to delicious food and drink. The large all-inclusive restaurant is located by the pool, near the mangrove forest. Here, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are served daily by the chef. You can enjoy worldly dishes and complete your meal with a dish from the live-cooking bar. The bread is freshly baked and there is plenty of choice for everyone.

Should you prefer a romantic dinner for two or order a special dish from the menu? Then you are welcome in the a la carte restaurant. The chef will ensure that you will not be short of anything and that you will enjoy the most delicious dishes by candlelight.

Starting the day off right with Italian coffee? You can. Order a delicious cappuccino or espresso in the coffee bar next to the all-inclusive restaurant. This bar is stylishly decorated and serves the best coffees. Rather have your feet in the sand and a view of the sea? Then head to the beachfront bar and order your favorite cocktail or smoothie!

At Reef & Beach Resort there are three pools where you can both relax with a cooling dip. The first pool is located on the beach and thus gives a breathtaking view of the sea. After a refreshing dip, you can take a seat on one of the sun beds and enjoy the sun.

Or just in the shade under the umbrella. The second pool is in the middle of the property and borders the mangrove forest. It is a large pool with a walkway across it. This pool also has several sun beds with umbrellas, where you can completely relax and enjoy a good book and power nap.
