Papyrus Lake Tour
Along some small streams toward Lake Papyrus
The walk begins five kilometers north of Mto wa Mbu, where the Miwaleni waterfall has created a green oasis. Along some small streams you will walk toward Lake Papyrus, where the Rangi people gather the materials for the mats and baskets they make. Along the way, you can see rice farms and visit Sandawe families who still make traditional bows and arrows for hunting.
