Arusha National Park walking safari
In search of wildlife at the foot of Mount Meru
Arusha National Park is one of the smaller national parks of northern Tanzania, yet Arusha is the safari capital of northern Tanzania. Most safaris start from this city.
What makes a walking safari in Arusha National Park so special?
Even though the park is smaller, there is plenty to do and see. There is plenty of wildlife and you may also encounter the rare black and white Colobus monkey. Therefore, it is time to get out of the jeep and explore this park further on foot. Accompanied by a ranger you will look for the different wild animals and in the meantime you will learn everything about the tracks they leave behind and the nature around you. Our rangers are real experts and they will tell you everything about this beautiful place with pride and enthusiasm.
Our tip: combine a game drive and walking safari in one day
You always book a walking safari in Arusha National Park in combination with a game drive. And that’s an advantage. Because whereas during the game drive you travel greater distances and can spot animals from a distance, the walking safari actually brings you close to nature. On foot, you see, hear and smell everything more intensely: animal tracks in the mud, birds among the trees, a giraffe walking slowly past you.
