In the middle of the Serengeti Ecosystem grass plains lies Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma, a unique safari accommodation just 300 meters from Serengeti National Park. This accommodation offers stunning views of wildlife roaming freely, and it is an ideal stopover for exploring the Serengeti.

The spacious tents range from cozy double tents to safari comfort tents with permanent bathrooms. Both with grandiose views over the grassy plains of Serengeti and Ikona. The surrounding area, including the Grumeti River, offers plenty of wildlife, including the Great Migration in certain months. You can also take a bushwalk and night game drive with a TAWA ranger in the nearby Ikona Game Controlled Area, a hidden treasure for wildlife enthusiasts.

Privacy & lots of space

If you’re looking for a Safari Lodge in Tanzania with a backyard full of wildlife and where the great migration takes place several months a year, you’ve come to the right place! All the tents are spaced a bit apart and there are no fences on the property. The stone path leads you to the restaurant, bar and reception and after dark a ranger will walk with you.

Safari comfort tent (max. 3 people)

Waking up to the rising sun shining in and grazing animals in front of your tent. Who wouldn’t want that? The feeling of being so close to nature adds an extra dimension to your stay. The Safari Comfort Tent is a spacious accommodation and is furnished with a king-size bed. An extra single bed can be added upon request. A fixed bathroom with a walk-in shower, a European toilet and a sink, a comfortable sitting area and closet space complete the room. Outside you have a terrace equipped with a table and chairs.

Safari comfort family tent (max. 6 people)

The Safari Comfort Family Tent is 75 square meters and features a double bed and bunk beds with a double bed below and a single bed above. In the bathroom you will find a walk-in shower, a European toilet and a sink. The room is also equipped with a dressing table, an open closet and a sitting area with a coffee table, completing the unit. Outside, you have a balcony overlooking the vast plains of the Serengeti. Two rooms are available.

Safari tent (max. 2 persons)

The safari tent is small, but very comfortable. The two single beds are wonderfully made and equipped with a good mattress. Through the large windows and the door in the tent you have a 180 degree view of Serengeti and see the wild animals walk by. In front of your tent you have a small terrace with chairs. The bathroom and toilet are shared and are located near the safari tents.

Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma is a showpiece of the accommodation. The large building offers a beautiful restaurant and a nice bar where you can have a drink together and share the memories of the past days. The chef provides an extensive breakfast and dinner buffet daily, which you can enjoy inside and outside. Want to look a little further afield and spot more wildlife while sipping a cold beer? Then sit upstairs in the restaurant, as this is the perfect place to spot wildlife.

As soon as it gets dark, the campfire is lit and chairs are placed around it. Under an insane starry sky, you can end the day right here, before being escorted to your tent by a ranger. You can hardly get a greater safari experience.
