06.00 – 07.00

The first rays of the sun rise and you wake up in a tent at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma. Stepping out of the tent, you are welcomed by the impressive view of the vast grassy plains of Ikona, the beautiful nature reserve adjacent to Serengeti National Park. The day of your Safari in Serengeti National Park has arrived!

07.00 – 08.00

After a delicious breakfast, you and your ranger get into your safari jeep around 7:30 a.m. and set off towards the north of the Serengeti. The goal today? To spot the great migration heading north! In addition, of course, the goal is to encounter as many wild animals as possible.

08.00 – 09.00

For the first part of the trip, you ride mostly over scenic plains dotted with acacias. And yes! The first lions have already been spotted! You grab your binoculars and watch the lions lying in the shade of a tree. A beautiful sight and it is only the beginning of the day!

10:00 – 11:00

Time for a short pit stop and ranger Vincent obviously knows these plains like the back of his hand. Therefore, he also drives to a beautiful spot where you have a fantastic view. He tells us that he often encounters elephants and giraffes at this spot. Once we arrive at this beautiful spot, it turns out unfortunately that the elephants and giraffes cannot be admired here today. A minor setback, but the view still completely blows you away.

11.00 – 12.00

The landscapes around you slowly begin to change to a hilly landscape with some riverine forests. And where you unfortunately missed them at the previous stop, here you really do see a herd of small elephants. Vincent can get you at a distance that allows you to shoot some stunning pictures. Those are in the pocket and ready to end up in a photo book afterwards!

12.00 – 13.00

The trek to the north of the Serengeti continues and it’s already a hit! A herd of zebra and wildebeest is grazing not far from the route. You try to count them from the jeep but there are so many that there is no way to start. You decide to stop here and have lunch together. Ranger Vincent makes good use of this time to explain exactly how this herd is put together and how they navigate the Serengeti together.

13.00 – 15.00

After having a delicious lunch, the trek to the river crossing continues. The north of the Serengeti is getting closer and closer and the tension in the jeep is rising. Ranger Vincent starts telling you about the river crossing to prepare you for this wonder of nature. Along the way you will encounter various wild animals, the perfect start to the final hours and finally the river comes into view!

15.00 – 16.00

Arriving at the river, ranger Vincent indicates that we still need to drive a short distance to reach the first popular crossing. You look out the right window and already see the first crocodiles! After half an hour of driving the ground starts to shake a little and yes! In the distance you see a group of wildebeest trying to make their way through the powerful water. As you get closer, the spectacle gets more and more impressive!

16.00 – 17.00

Ranger Vincent will park the car and leave it for a while so you can shoot beautiful photos and videos of this phenomenon. Hundreds of wildebeest make their way across and everywhere you see predators ready to grab prey. A mighty display of how nature works. Unforgettable!

17.00 – 18.00

After enough time at the river, you will continue towards the final location of the game drive. You will spend the night at the Africa Safari Maasai Boma. A location against the northern border of the Serengeti with traditional terracotta huts. The unique feature of this location is that it is located on a hill overlooking the Kenyan border.

18.00 – 19.00

After experiencing an impressive day on the
Serengeti
it is almost time to unwind. First there will be food and
Africa Safari Maasai Boma
has the perfect opportunity. After all, here you get dinner with 180 degree views. The ideal way to end this great day.

19.00 – 22.30

After a delicious meal, you now have some time to yourselves. Have another drink at the bar, exchange stories with other travelers around the campfire or take a dip in the pool. Then it’s time to find your cabin and get some sleep. Tomorrow a new day awaits you!
