Visa application assistance

We would be happy to give you tips and advice on applying for your visa to Tanzania and/or Zanzibar.

The visa for Tanzania and Zanzibar is the same, so should you visit both destinations, you will only need 1 visa. You fill in all the details based on your first overnight stay. You apply for the visa per person with a unique e-mail address.

Contact Information

• Enter your contact information
  • Usually your Present Physical Address is the same as the Permanent Physical Address. In that case, enter the same address twice here. Just street name and house number is sufficient.
  • If you are temporarily living somewhere else, e.g. abroad, but you are still registered in the Netherlands/Belgium, enter your temporary address under Present Physical Address. At Permanent Physical – Address you enter the address at which you are registered in the Netherlands/Belgium.
• Employee Status → Here, click the appropriate choice that applies to you
• Employer → Enter here the company name where you are employed
• Occupation → Enter your job title in English here

Passport Information

• Passport type → Choose Ordinary here if you have an ‘ordinary’ passport
• Enter the remaining details of your passport:
  • Passport number → Passport number
  • Country of issue → Country of issue
  • Place of Issue → Place of issue
  • Issuance Date → Date of issue
  • Expiry Date → Valid until date

Tanzania Embassy

• Country from where you are applying → Netherlands or Belgium
• Nearby embassy to handle your application → The Hague or Brussels

Visit details

• Type of visa requested → Choose Ordinary Visa
• Purpose of your visit → Choose Tourism
• Is this the first time you visit Tanzania → Select correct answer

Upload documents

• Applicant passport size photo → Upload a passport photo of yourself
• Applicant passport size bio data page → Upload a picture of the hard page from your passport
• Return ticket → Upload a pdf file of your International return ticket
• Click Save and continue

TIP: When uploading your passport photo and/or passport photo, you may get an error message that the file is too large. We recommend taking a screenshot of your passport photo and passport photo and uploading these screenshots as a photo.
