At Paradise & Wilderness, that knowledge is abundant. Our specialist Aisling lived in Tanzania for over three years and travels back regularly. Specialist Anouk lived on Zanzibar, which feels like her second home. Many of our Dutch colleagues live or have lived in the country. That background, knowledge and passion make a real difference.
We are an officially registered Tanzanian company and hold all required business and tourism licenses, including a valid TALA license. Through our subsidiary Beach & Safari Holidays, the group is connected to recognised industry organisations including TATO, ATTA and ZATI. Four of our Zanzibar accommodations hold Travelife Gold certification: Paradise Beach Resort, Zanzibar Bay Resort, Reef & Beach Resort and Dream of Zanzibar.
More than a tour operator: our own operations in Tanzania
Paradise & Wilderness is a vertically integrated destination management company (DMC). Rather than arranging each part of a journey through separate suppliers, much of the travel infrastructure behind our trips is operated within the Paradise & Wilderness Group.
Our current portfolio includes 22 accommodations, ranging from safari lodges and tented camps on mainland Tanzania to beach resorts on Zanzibar. The group also operates a fleet of more than 250 safari vehicles and 7 aircraft, with aviation services operated through Unity Air and sister company Beach Safari Airways.

Paradise & Wilderness primarily works with travellers departing from Europe. Within the organisation, English, Kiswahili, German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian are spoken, with European office hours available for pre-departure support.
This allows travellers to communicate in their own language before departure and receive support from a team that understands both Tanzania and the expectations of European travellers.

Around 300 safari guides and drivers work within the Paradise & Wilderness Group, with the majority working directly for the group.
In Tanzania, safari drivers and guides are required to be certified and licensed. All our guides and drivers meet these requirements, ensuring they have the qualifications needed to operate professionally within the country.
Combined with their first-hand knowledge of Tanzania’s national parks, wildlife and seasonal conditions, this enables our guides to respond to changing circumstances in the parks, including wildlife movements, road conditions and weather.
