1. Payment Terms

1.1 Down payment

There is a deposit of 25% of the total trip price, excluding international airfare. This must be paid within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the agreement. If you book your trip within 4 weeks before departure, the entire travel sum must be paid immediately (within 3 days) after receiving the invoice.

1.2 Airline ticket

Fees for international airline tickets must be paid immediately (within 3 days), when the ticket is taken and paid for directly from the airline. The cost of the ticket will then be added to the amount of the above deposit.

1.3 Remainder of the travel sum

The balance of the travel price (75%) must be paid no later than 3 weeks before departure. If you have not paid this on time, Paradise-wilderness.com will send a free payment reminder, setting a deadline of seven calendar days for payment. If payment is still not made even then, the agreement shall be deemed cancelled on the day of default. Paradise-wilderness.com shall be entitled to charge a cancellation fee for this. In this case the provisions of article 4 shall apply and monies already paid shall be deducted from the cancellation monies.

1.4 Partnership with Snow Leopard Adventures (CoC 27182115)

Paradise-wilderness.com is part of Snow Leopard Adventures (KvK 27182115). As such all trips undertaken by Paradise-wilderness.com are subject to protective consumer terms and conditions of the Algemene Nederlandse Vereniging van Reisondernemingen (ANVR), Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden (SGR), Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden Zakelijk (SGR-Z) and Stichting Calamiteitenfonds Reizen (SCR). Payments must be made to the bank details stated on the invoice and in the name of Snow Leopard Adventures in The Hague.

2. Cancellation Policy

After you have booked a trip, circumstances may require you to cancel or interrupt your trip. Paradise-wilderness.com will then charge you a cancellation fee. Paradise-wilderness.com’s cancellation policy in accordance with Article 9.2 of the ANVR Travelers’ Conditions is as follows:

4. Changes by participant(s).

4.2 Rejection

Rejection of your desired changes will be explained and communicated to you by Paradise-wilderness.com. You may either maintain or cancel the original agreement. In the absence of a response to the rejection of your request, the original agreement will be executed.

4.3 Change of departure date or reduction in number of paying passengers

Changing the departure date or reducing the number of paying participants is considered a (partial) cancellation. Please see 2. Cancellation Policy.

5. Program changes

5.1 Route changes

Tours published by Paradise-wilderness.com are based on planned lodges, resorts, tented camps and hotels and subject to itinerary changes. Paradise-wilderness.com therefore reserves the right, after booking but prior to your trip, to change certain accommodations and possibly the itinerary, if this benefits the program. In doing so, Paradise-wilderness.com will select alternatives of equal or better quality in case of changes in accommodations.

5.2 Weighty changes

As far as changes to the itinerary are concerned, Paradise-wilderness.com will try as far as possible to maintain the original travel components by carrying them out in a different order if necessary. In the event of significant changes to the itinerary (relative to the entire trip) you, the traveler, have the right not to accept these, after which Paradise-wilderness.com will cancel the travel contract free of charge and you will receive a full refund of the travel price.

5.3 Travel documents

With your travel documents you will receive final details of your itinerary from Paradise-wilderness.com.

6. Insurance

Taking out travel insurance Paradise-wilderness.com states as mandatory. Cancellation insurance is not, but is highly recommended. If you use continuous insurance, please check with your insurance company the amount of coverage per trip and per policy year, as these are often not sufficient given the size of the trip. It is possible to purchase travel and cancellation insurance through Paradise-wilderness.com. You will be informed about this when booking your trip.

7. Tourist Tax

In Tanzania and on Zanzibar, there are legally required tourist taxes that are paid in cash on the spot at the accommodation reception. The amount of this legally required tourist tax is mentioned in the quotation.

8. Operational activities

All activities, including car safaris, guided walking safaris, river safaris and other operational activities, are done under your own responsibility and at your own risk. Therefore, Paradise-wilderness.com and its employees or partners shall not be liable for any property and/or personal injury as well as consequential damages unless there is gross fault and/or gross negligence on the part of Paradise-wilderness.com.

9. Travel documents

Each participant in the trip must ensure that he/she is in possession of the necessary valid documents such as passport, travel documents, insurance papers, et cetera upon departure.

10. Agreement

Travelers are deemed to have read and understood the above terms and conditions prior to booking. Upon registration, travelers agree to the above terms and conditions.
